Chapter Fifteen

Since each of us was taking our own ships to the Sea Witch's coordinates—they'd arrived this morning via one of her carnivorous birds—I'd tried to leave before the other three kings so I wouldn't get saddled with Angel.

However, War's ship had blocked mine, leaving me with no way to leave the harbor. And when I'd tried to tell him to fucking move it, he'd merely smiled. Angel had showed up right after, and somehow, some way, she'd arrived at my ship and boarded it before I did more than scowl.

No doubt the other three wanted me to spend quality time with her, or some such shit. But my ship was fucking huge, and it was easy enough to stay away from her.

Because she was goddamn dangerous. I'd orgasmed while watching Ethan and Nadif fuck her. That wasn't a big deal, as I often came while watching others.

No, what had made me flee the cargo hold had been the urge to join them, to put my dick into her hot, wet mouth and thrust deep and hard.

I'd even taken a few steps toward the group, but had caught myself. Yes, I'd had to attend the group dinner. But putting a table between us, combined with the other three king bastards watching me so fucking closely, had cooled my desire to have a turn with her.

Because I wasn't going to touch her mouth, or cunt, or even ass beyond the one time required. I didn't want to fuck anyone regularly until after I'd avenged Min.

And if the other bastards thought some forced proximity would change my mind? Well, then they were in for a fucking long wait.

As soon as possible, I foisted Angel off on one of the crew and walked away from her, to the bow of the ship. Standing there, with the wind against my skin and the smell of salt and sea, would never get old.

Min had always wanted me to hold her at the front so she could lean over the railing with her arms spread wide. Some shit about how it'd felt like flying to her.

She'd never hesitated to kill an enemy, but at times she'd been so much more fucking innocent than I'd ever been. Not to mention a hell of a lot more adventurous, both in and out of the bedroom.

Damn, I fucking missed her sometimes.

Lost to my memories, I didn't hear Angel approach until she said, "I want my first pistol lesson."

Turning, I raised an eyebrow. "Well, you're going to have to fucking wait until we're on land. There's no room on a ship for that shit."

She extracted one of the Death Pistols and lovingly stroked the etched design on the handle. "I'm not a fucking idiot; I don't want to shoot yet. But there's a crapton of stuff you can teach me without doing that. Like how to clean it, load it, that kind of stuff."

I should grunt, say no again, and walk away.

But I couldn't tear my gaze from her long, graceful fingers as they traced the lines imprinted into the metal.
